View Commercial Application Brochure (PDF) Swimmer Detection System: The deployable WESMAR Waterside Electronic Barrier (WEB) is a system of active sonar sensors deployed in a barrier configuration to detect and discriminate swimmers or scuba equipped divers approaching waterside assets. After verification of the "target" using unique software, the security team can precisely vector a response to the intrusion and take appropriate action. The system can be adapted for virtually any size of maritime installation by using multiple sensors and can be deployed and installed quickly. Barrier employment increases effective system detection range to ensure adequate alertment for security response. System can protect piers, shipyards, harbors and afloat units. It can be easily relocated to remote areas to address ad hoc operational needs, such as protecting MPF assets or integration with Naval Coastal Warfare (NCW) missions. System can be fixed, semi-fixed or portable depending on requirements. The system has been rigorously and recently tested by the US Navy in real world environments. A system is currently installed and operated by US Navy personnel. System is fully developed, low cost, easy to use and operate, and currently available off-the-shelf (installation in 1-4 weeks). |
