The SERIES 3000 scanning sonar is for navigation, obstacle avoidance, mine detection, salvage and underwater surveillance. It is available in a variety of frequencies and with many options.

Features

Compact Size: The WESMAR system is extremely compact because a single searchlight beam is used to provide full coverage.
High Discrimination: Special software and unique receiver/amplifier design enable difficult targets to be picked out of background clutter.

 

Military Sonar Applications

 Performance tested by the U.S. Navy: With a choice of four transducers and five frequencies, the SERIES 3000 can be adapted to a variety of military applications. For the detection of difficult targets there is no substitute for WESMAR's unique searchlight beam approach.
Subs & Submersibles: WESMAR scanning sonars are typically used for navigation and obstacle avoidance in subs and submersibles. They are also useful as a collision avoidance sensor to search for vessels while surfacing.
Surface Vessels: WESMAR's sonars are used on surface vessels for navigation and underwater surveillance. Typical vessels include coastal patrol boats, buoy tenders, salvage vessels, and small mine craft.
Three Sonars in One: Sonar in Split Screen mode shows the acoustic return as the vessel navigates a narrow channel and another vessel passes to port.
Advanced Features Improve Navigation Safety: Scan ahead of vessel with PPI Presentation. Profile the bottom, forward/aft or anywhere around the vessel.
